Indian food ingredients for Russian buyers: what to source and how to check

A plain guide for Russian and Eurasian food makers, spice blenders and importers: which ingredients Indian companies offer, the papers to ask for, and how to meet suppliers in person or through us.

8 min read · Sourcing guide · Updated 22 October 2026

Short answer: Indian companies supply food makers abroad with whole and ground spices, dehydrated onion and garlic, spice oils, oleoresins and natural extracts, food colours, and potato flakes. Five of them took these and other products to Agroprodmash 2026 in Moscow. A Russian buyer should check four things before an order: how the product is classified (that sets the technical rules and the duty), the conformity papers and any registration it needs, a Russian-language label, and lab reports for the exact batch. The next place to meet Indian suppliers in person is Agroprodmash 2027: 28 September to 1 October 2027, Crocus Expo, Moscow region.

Which ingredients Indian suppliers sell

This is not a full list of what India exports. It is what Indian companies actually showed Russian buyers in Moscow in 2026, each named from the official Agroprodmash 2026 catalogue or the company's own website or public post. The list is in alphabetical order. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and none of these companies has paid to appear here.

CompanyWhereWhat it says it offersSource
Delicious FoodMahuva, Gujarat (Hall 18, 2026)Dehydrated white onion and garlic: flakes, granules, minced, chopped, kibbled, powder; grows, processes and exports2026 catalogue; deliciousfood.net.in
RC Agro FoodsNot stated (Hall 18, 2026)Potato flakes and potato-based ingredientsIts project manager's public LinkedIn post, 29 Sep 2026 (not in the catalogue's India count)
Roha Dyechem (Russian company, Saint Petersburg)Head office Mumbai, per its catalogue entry (Hall 18, 2026)Food colours, dehydrated and freeze-dried products2026 catalogue
TMV Natural Oils & ExtractsKochi, Kerala (Hall 18, 2026)Essential oils, oleoresins, natural isolates, CO2 extracts, resinoids, food colours and natural extracts; 3 factories in Kochi2026 catalogue; tmvaroma.com

Two more Indian companies in the catalogue's index showed machinery, not ingredients: Kuipers SV Agri India and R&D Engineers (Hyderabad), both in Hall 13. Roha's stand was taken by its Russian company, so it is not in the India count.

For each category, a buyer should fix the spec before asking for prices. For dehydrated onion and garlic: the cut (flakes, chopped, minced, granules, powder), the colour grade, moisture and the micro limits. For spices: whole or ground, the origin region, volatile oil, moisture, and steam treatment if your process has no kill step. For oleoresins and oils: the active content and the solvent residue limits your market allows.

What a Russian buyer should check

Russia's rules are set per product, not per country. Our sister site India Russia Trading explains the route in its certification and labelling guides. In short:

1
Classification firstHow the product is classified decides which technical regulation applies, which conformity route you need and the duty. Agree the classification before anything else, with someone who answers for it.
2
Conformity papersMost goods need conformity documentation against the applicable technical regulation, as a declaration or a certificate depending on the product. Ask the supplier which one, and who will hold it.
3
State registration where it appliesSome foods, supplements and specialised products also need state registration before they can be sold. Check this before you agree a launch date.
4
Plant-product permitsAnimal and plant products need veterinary or phytosanitary permits, often with approval of the production facility. Start these first: they hold up everything after them.
5
A Russian-language labelIndia Russia Trading's labelling guide calls labelling the most common reason Indian consignments are stopped entering Russia. Agree the label text, including the allergen and nutrition details your category needs, before printing.
6
Lab reports for your batchAsk for a certificate of analysis for the exact batch from an accredited lab: moisture, micro, and the residue and contaminant limits your buyer or market sets.
7
Samples, then a pre-shipment checkTest samples in your own recipe. For the first order, ask for an independent pre-shipment inspection.
8
Terms and paymentAgree the Incoterm (FOB, CIF and so on) and the payment route in writing. India Russia Trading's payment routes guide explains the options.

Where to meet them: Agroprodmash 2027, Moscow

Agroprodmash is Moscow's yearly show for food processing equipment, technologies, raw materials and ingredients. The 32nd edition is from 28 September to 1 October 2027 at Crocus Expo, Mezhdunarodnaya Street 16, 18, 20, Krasnogorsk, Moscow region, per the organiser's website on 22 October 2026. The organiser's sections page puts APM Ingredients (ingredients, additives, spices) in Pavilion 3, Hall 18, and now also lists a section for equipment to make ingredients. Visitor hours on the organiser's page are 10:00 to 18:00 for the first three days and 10:00 to 16:00 on the last day; confirm nearer the show.

Independent guide. Agroprodmash is organised by Expocentre. Indian Processed Food is not the organiser, its agent or a partner. Stands and tickets are bought from the organiser.

2026 visitors interested in ingredients, additives, spices
1,042
2026 visitors from ingredient, additive and spice firms
74.4%
2026 visitors who buy or recommend purchases

Those are the organiser's 2026 results. The 2026 show was smaller than 2025: 770+ exhibitors and 23,966 visitors in 2026, against 850+ exhibitors and 26,039 visitors in 2025. In 2026, 238 exhibitors came from outside Russia, and 57% of visitors said they planned to buy after the show. The organiser's market page counts 43,263 food-industry enterprises in Russia.

India is thin on the ground. Our count of the 2026 catalogue's foreign-exhibitor index: China 152, Türkiye 25, Italy 18, Germany 5, Belarus 4, India 4. For a Russian buyer that means fewer Indian stands to walk past; for an Indian supplier, fewer Indian competitors in the hall.
