When you submit a sourcing brief through this site, we collect what you provide directly:

• Product category, specification, quantity, destination country, and target timeline
• Required certifications you select
• Your company name and the contact email you provide

We also collect limited technical data automatically through analytics tools, described below.

How we use it

• To route your sourcing brief to verified exporters listed in the matching category
• To follow up with you directly by email or WhatsApp about your brief
• To understand aggregate site usage and improve the directory and content

We do not sell your data. We do not publish your sourcing brief or contact details publicly — they are shared only with the verified exporters your brief is routed to.

Who we share it with

• Resend — the email delivery service we use to receive and route sourcing briefs internally and to exporters.
• Google Analytics (GA4) — only if you accept analytics cookies via the banner on this site. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
• Vercel Analytics — a cookie-free analytics service that measures aggregate page views and performance without tracking individual visitors.
• Verified exporters matching the category of a sourcing brief you submit.

Data retention

We keep sourcing brief submissions for as long as reasonably needed to route your request and follow up with you, and for basic business record-keeping after that. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see "Your rights" below.

International transfers

We are based in India. Some service providers we use (including Resend, Google, and Vercel) may process data on servers outside India. By using this site, you understand your information may be processed in other countries.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing food@indpotato.com. If you're in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing — the same contact email applies.
